Dream Crew™ Member: Victoria Joanne (Hand Crafted Creations)

Dream Crew™ member, Victoria Joanne, is the owner and artist of Hand Crafted Creations and Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway's official custom wedding accessories artist. Victoria, always the trend setter, started offering colorful and custom wedding garters in a time when nothing was custom and everything was mass produced. She was scared at first to go out on a limb but in 2001 she found the courage to follow her heart and passion. What she created was a niche market for customized items, such as garters and ring pillows, to meet the brides/couples needs rather than them having to settle for the same ole same ole.

Originally from Long Island, NY, but now located in Massachusetts, this mother of three and wife to one great guy specializes in customized garters. Hand Crafted Creations has on online portfolio of 1000s of Victoria's custom creations. She loves making pieces for her clients that are unique and become special keepsakes. She tries to incorporate a sentimental item in each of her creations, such as grandmothers brooch or dad's wedding ring. Additionally, she finds that using unique fabric pieces such as the brides baby blanket or a piece of her mother's wedding dress really adds to the sentimental value of her creations...don't worry though, she can create a simpler not so sentimental piece that you can toss.

Victoria's pieces have been graced by some of the world's most famous legs, including The Girls Next Door's Kendra Wilkinson, Deal or No Deal's Lindsay Clubine (Model #26) and Katie Cleary (Model #11). Additionally, her garters and other custom pieces have made the pages of US Weekly Magazine, I Do for Brides Magazine, and have been featured in one of the 2010 Mercury Milan Hybrid "Follow Me To Bliss" Webisodes. She has become the celebrity go to person for the perfect wedding garter!

Dream Crew™ Member: DeAnna Cochran (DeAnna Cochran Jewelry)

Dream Crew™ member, DeAnna Cochran, is the owner and artist for DeAnna Cochran Jewelry, based in Dallas, Texas and Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway's official groom's party jewelry designer. DeAnna's love for jewelry making began with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in metalwork from the University of North Texas' College of Visual Arts and Design. After a 15-year detour with a successful corporate career as a quality consultant and Six Sigma Black Belt.

DeAnna she returned to her passion for the art following a tragic loss. The artist's son Jackson was born 4 months premature and after 3 weeks in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) the artist lost her son. Dream Location™ (Rehearsal Dinner) : Camarillo Ranch

We are excited to announce that our second Dream Location™ is the beautiful Camarillo Ranch, located in Camarillo, California and the Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway's official wedding rehearsal location.

This historic mansion with peaceful, park-like grounds offers a rare setting for all kinds of revelry. The turn-of-the-century estate’s romantic architecture and beautiful gardens make it a particular favorite for weddings. The three-story Queen Anne-style mansion is the perfect centerpiece for any event at Camarillo Ranch.

At the Ranch, you may have a hard time choosing from among several pleasant sites for your event. One possibility is the West Garden, a manicured lawn surrounded by palm trees, luxuriant foliage, and seasonal blooms. A vine-covered archway at the garden’s entrance makes an excellent focal point for a ceremony. So does a splashing, triple-tiered stone fountain in the center of the garden. On the opposite side of the mansion the commodious East Garden also features a fountain and a lush border of trees. You might also marry on the mansion’s wraparound front porch, whose ornate façade and carved balustrades form an elegant backdrop.

Follow the ceremony with a cocktail hour in one of the gardens, or invite your guests inside the mansion to explore its lovely antique décor. Couples usually host their reception on the spacious front lawn, beneath the scattered shade of magnificent mature trees. One specimen, a fabulous Moreton Bay Fig Tree, displays an intricate root system—symbolic of a knot well tied! The Front Lawn holds 400 or more guests, and takes on many different moods or themes—from a posh garden soirée to a festive hoedown—depending on how you have it decorated. Want a more rustic feel, why not treat your guests to a reception inside the restored barn. The Ranch is also one of the few facilities in the area that allows couples to bring in their own caterer—even if it’s your Aunt Sally!

Dream Crew™ member, Katie Gallagher, is the creator and designer for Katie Gallagher Handbags based in Los Angeles, California and Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway's official handbag couturier. Katie is well known in the music industry for her "Rock & Roll Chic" and was commissioned to create an exclusive handbag for one of her celebrity friends. This venture sparked the beginning of Katie Gallagher Handbags. Katie, a freelance hairstylist for most of her life has been designing and crafting her singular leather creations for many years and is now ready to share her designs with the world.

A child of the seventies and voted most original in high school...Katie was always on the cutting edge. As a teen she wore flowers in her jeans and was always in love with fringe...think Jimi Hendrix. Raised in Greensboro, NC by father who owned a dry cleaning business and a reporter mother with a syndicated column called The Witchery of Stitchery looked for ways to further express herself. The opportunity came, in her teens, when her older sister came back from a vacation in England, transformed into a total mod, blowing Katie away and giving her the opening to explore her own love for design and fashion. This also led to her love for travel, politics, the arts, and different cultures.

Dream Crew™ Member: Paul Bott (Paul Bott)

Dream Crew™ member, Paul Bott, is the owner of his name sake company, Paul Bott, based in Southern California and Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway's official ceremony site floral designer. Paul is a multi-talented individual. He is an executive chef, event designer, and a floral designer...a triple threat in the wedding and event industry. Paul started out in this business with a little inspiration. The inspiration to develop his own company occurred one day, years ago when he was the recipient of a bouquet. Since receiving that life changing bouquet, Paul is now an internationally celebrated party guru.

He started his event career at an early age. It all started when he would accompany his dad, a United Airlines jet mechanic, to parties that his father orchestrated for UA employees at the Mainliner Club. Paul recalls the clinking of the ice cubes in glasses and the smell of his mother's cooking. This started him on his role as an event designer. After graduating from school, Paul headed to France where his culinary mastery eventually led to his next role as a Chef on a private yacht. He always loved to cook, even when he was a young boy and this talent came naturally. The amazing thing about his culinary expertise is that he is self-taught.

As if he did not have enough to do, after mastering event design and cooking, Paul ventured into yet another ambitious career, floral design. This came to be after sitting in a restaurant and mentioning to the manager that the floral arrangements were awful. The manager asked if he could do better and he answered yes, and by 7am the next morning he had centerpieces for the restaurant like ones they have never seen. He was hooked. These talents, like cooking and orchestrating large events,are natural for Paul. It's a creative art form that all works hand in hand and with the same eyes on the detail.

He has catered and orchestrated events worldwide. As Paul states, "It's very difficult for me to decide how to describe myself. I love entertaining, I love giving this way, and it's church for me. I love to cook and prepare and serve, simple stuff maybe, but it means everything to me." This is passion at its rawest form, the passion to make people happy.

Paul was invited to be part of the Dream Crew™ of the Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway because of the fire and passion he has for the wedding and event industry. Additionally, his drive to create the best...be it food, experience, or florals, becomes contagious and everyone around him is sucked in to this world even if it's for a moment. Dream Location™ (Ceremony and Reception): Rancho de Las Palmas, Moorpark, CA

We are so happy to announce the Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway's Dream Location™, Rancho de Las Palmas. With Southern California's year round beautiful weather, we wanted to choose a location that had both indoor and outdoor areas to host this grand affair. Additionally, Rancho de Las Palmas was chosen as the Dream Location™ because of all the possibilities that can be housed on the property.

Rancho de Las Palmas is definitely an oasis in Southern California, with it's spring-fed lagoon, thousands of palm trees, and the numerous fountains on the property, it's a fitting definition. The property has been personally designed and executed for over 18 years by owner Dr. Robert Cassar. This unique and beautiful estate is also a registered turtle sanctuary, botanical garden, and antiquities museum. Everything on the property is handmade and a testament to Dr. Cassar's creative energy.

The focal point of Rancho de Las Palmas is the huge lagoon, with it's three sparkling fountains. A bridge connects the main part of the estate to the a marvelous private island. Weeping willows and palm trees set the mood for this part of the estate. The estates pavilion is charming and can accommodate up to 200 people. It's reminiscent of an oversized gazebo that can be transformed to your liking for any type of event. The property as a whole is an event designer's dream location, because there are so many possibilities! This enchanted location is a dream come true and the perfect location for the 2010 Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway.

Ja'Nice (pronounced Ja Niece) is a noted hair and make-up artist in Southern California. She has been helping women discover their true beauty with her expertise and talent in hair and make-up styling.

Ja'Nice joined DeVenir Beauty, a coast-to-coast, on location event beauty service, after years of working for salons in Southern California. Dream Crew™ Member: Cliff Housego (The Wedding Music DJ's)

Dream Crew™ member, Cliff Housego, is the owner of The Wedding Music DJ's, based in Ventura County, California and the Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway's official DJ and first dance instructor. Cliff started The Wedding Music DJ's in 1990 and quickly became one of Southern California's most sought after wedding DJ. The Wedding Music DJ's grew out of Cliff's passion for dance and music. Cliff, a long time dance competitor and dance convention DJ/MC, and this passion accidentally grew into him being a part of the wedding industry. Dance lead to teaching dance. Teaching dance lead to being a DJ. Being a DJ lead to weddings...so that's how Cliff got into the industry.

As Cliff's DJ and MC business grew, so did his voice over and radio work. While being a DJ and MC has been Cliff's main focus, he has also spent time teaching dance on sets of many movie and television shows. Most recently, Cliff appeared on an episode of ABC's The Bachelorette, where he taught the bachelors how to dance. Additionally, he works at local clubs such as The Borderline teaching dance and spinning the tunes! Cliff and his talented staff at The Wedding Music DJ's have performed at thousand's of weddings throughout Southern California. In his off time, Cliff volunteers for such organizations as Ventura Food Share Program and Calabasas Relay for Life.

Cliff's passion for music and dance has also catapulted him into the choreography sector of dance, by teaching couples how to dance their first dance. Dream Crew™ member, Wendy Smith, is the co-owner and head designer of Your Image Botanical Design, based in Ventura County, California and Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway's official bridal and reception pavilion floral designer. Wendy started Your Image Botanical Design as a creative outlet to her corporate position at a software company. She quickly discovered that her love for floral design was more than a hobby and that she wanted to create designs for others so they can enjoy the beauty of her creations as well. She even did the floral designs for her own wedding.

Dream Crew™ Member: Percy Sales (Percy Sales Events)

Dream Crew™ member, Percy Sales, is the owner and designer of Percy Sales Events, based in Ojai, California and Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway's official wedding planner and designer. Percy Sales (pronounced sah-less) has been planning events since he was in grade school. He organized and planned neighborhood get-togethers, school functions, and even his "infamous" front yard carnivals that he would put on for neighborhood kids, with the help of his brother and neighbor.

Percy got his break in the real event world at the early age of 20 when he applied for a job as an event planner at a local (San Francisco Bay Area) company and actually got it. His first event job was planning a sales conference in Mexico City and Maui, Hawaii, simultaneously, within a month of starting his position. Nevertheless, in classic Percy Sales style, he took it all in, did his thing, stayed calm and stress-free, and provided the best meetings the company has ever seen. He now has over 15 years of worldwide events experience, planning events for up to 6000 people.

Percy was a corporate planner for 11 years before establishing his own company, Percy Sales Events, when a friend asked him to plan her wedding. He hesitated at first because he had never done a wedding, but his client said, "If you can plan a party for thousands of people, you could plan a wedding for me." Well...he took the plunge and fell in love with the wedding industry! Percy holds an MBA in Marketing and is a member of International Special Events Society (ISES) and Meeting Professionals International (MPI). He has voted best wedding planner in 2007 by the Santa Barbara Independent, a 2009 Wedding Wire Bride's Choice Award Recipient, and was just nominated as best wedding planner by Fox LA (vote for him). Additionally, he is a noted wedding blogger and has been seen on the Style Channel's Peter Perfect, as well as TLC's Trading Spaces. His weddings have also been featured in InStyle Wedding Magazine.

Percy was invited to be a part of the Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway Dream Crew™ because of his ability to transform his client's dreams into reality. Additionally, his creativity, talent, and his love for weddings is why we wanted him to be part of the Dream Crew™. Percy also has a lot of heart and that is another reason why we love him. Dream Producer™: Three Martini Lunch Productions

Three Martini Lunch Productions is The Dream Producer™ of the Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway. Three Martini Lunch Productions is a trio of colleagues who got together for a three martini lunch to discuss ways to better expose groups of people working in the wedding and event industry to a broader scope of people. Then it hit them like an awesome Lychee Martini. Why not introduce these people to a larger audience by showcasing what they do best!

Three Martini Lunch Productions talked about doing trade shows, bridal fairs, or even pitching for a new TV Show, but they thought, "What's the best way to showcase talents in the wedding industry?" Simultaneously they yelled, "THROW A WEDDING!" The martini trio thought this was the best route for the showcase and since the they are saps for weddings and love stories, they thought this was a lovely way for engaged couples with compelling stories to enter a contest for a chance to win an incredible dream wedding, a wedding that some of them may have not been able to afford.

After the three martini lunch, Three Martini Lunch Productions started contacting people and companies they wanted on their Dream Crew™. The individuals they were contacting were people who had a great reputation in the industry, talented, creative, and have great working relations with their clients. They were surprised at how many of The Dream Crew™ members said "I Do" and wanted to be part of a fabulous showcase of wedding and event vendors who are coming together to do what they do best. By the end of the first week, they had a list of over 30 vendors on The Dream Crew™ and a dream wedding estimated at $100,000. That's one platinum wedding for one lucky couple.

Well folks that's how the Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway came to be. It started out as a networking meeting that turned into producing a fabulous dream wedding giveaway for one lucky couple, as well as, a showcase for The Dream Crew™. Dream Crew™ members have all stated that this dream wedding giveaway is the best way to give back to an industry that has supported all of us. Additionally, it's a great way to honor the couples who hired us early on in our business and trusted our talents so that we can continue providing our best crafts in a career we all love. Without the support of the industry and our past couples, we would not have been able to give one lucky couple the dream wedding of a lifetime! With that, you can only imagine the heights that each Dream Crew™ member will put into the Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway. We can't wait!

Southern Calfornia Dream Wedding Giveaway - The Details

People have been asking for the complete details of the Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway. So we thought we would put it down for you in an easy to read format. Remember that the official contest website will open on October 18, 2009. This contest is open to any legal US resident, 21 years and older. Here are the details and dates you can mark in your calendars.

Timeline has been updated, as of 9/30/2009 at the request of our Dream Sponsors™.

October 18, 2009: Contest officially begins. Launch party to meet and greet with The Dream Crew and The Dream Sponsors at Rancho de Las Palmas from 5pm to 8pm. Event is FREE but you must RSVP to socaldreamwedding@gmail.com with name and guest's names.

October 18, 2009 to January 31, 2010: Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway contest runs. Couples are encouraged to submit their Dream Couple™ love stories at this time. Couples profiles and stories will be posted on the Website.

We will want to know the following from each of our couples:
  1. Tell us your love story (how you met, the engagement, etc. We want the full scoop).
  2. Tell us about the hardest thing you, as a couple, have had to face to date.
  3. Tell us about what you think is the key to a successful marriage.
  4. Tell us why you deserve to be the Southern California Dream Wedding Giveaway Dream Couple.
January 31, 2010 to February 2, 2010: The Dream Crew chooses the Top 10 Dream Couples™.

February 3, 2010: Top 10 Dream Couples revealed.

February 3, 2010 to February 11, 2010: Public voting of favorite Dream Couples™.

February 12, 2010: Top 3 Dream Couples revealed.

February 13, 2010: The Dream Sponsors™ determines the winner.

February 14

February 15, 2010: The winning Dream Couple™ announced and revealed.

March 1, 2010: The Wedding Planning with The Dream Couple begins.

Sunday, June 27, 2010: The Dream Couple's $100, 000 Dream Wedding and Reception for up to 100 guests (DO NOT enter the contest if you cannot get married on this date) at Rancho de Las Palmas in Moorpark, California.
