Remainder of Dream Couple Stories will not be posted but still in the running.

Due to the overwhelming number of entries that we have received in the last two weeks, entries received from January 11, 2010 to January 31, 2010 will not be publicly posted on our website or blogs. All entries will automatically be sent to the Dream Crew™ who will be choosing the Top 10 finalist for consideration. Since January 11th we have received over 200 entries bringing the total number of contestants to over 600 couples. Every entry regardless of being posted or not are being considered and the couples presence on the website is not an indicator of who will be considered for the Top 10 slots. Top 10 contestants will be announced on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 and will be posted on this page. Thank you for your patience and understanding, but this contest has expected all our expectations on the number of contestants we would receive Every contestant in the running for the Top 10 and who is not posted on this site will be notified by email, by January 31, 2010, that if we have received your entry.

The reason for this change is that we are just unable to merge the photos and format stories in a timely manner. And to edit and post over 200 stories before the deadline would not be feasible, so we are emailing all the individual stories to the 50+ Dream Crew members to read on their own and to consider for the Top 10.

Thank you.

  1. That's definitely understandable.

And one thing I hadn't realized is that everyone on the Crew'll be reading each of our stories. It's neat to think about all those talented artists reading about all of us, and starting to think of how they'd express various couples in their work. For whoever wins, it's going to be such an incredibly cool experience to be a part of that.

  2. Well this obviously puts those who submitted after Jan 11th at a disadvantage. The dream crew is going to be receiving a mass of random emails with unformatted stories and floating pictures. There's no possible way they could have reviewed every submission in time for the deadline. I'd rather they extend it and allow everyone the same opportunity. Many great couples are going to be on the short end as a result. If the submission deadline was labeled as Jan 31st...they all should have been posted.

  3. All the dream couples had the same advantage regardless of being posted on the blog or not. The Dream Crew had access to all the stories. Actually two of our semi-finalist were in the last groupings of people and their stories were not posted on this site until this evening. They were contestants #533 and #600 (out of 615).
